A catch-all email mailbox receives messages sent to non-existent addresses under the same domain. For instance, an email sent to the miswritten suport@domain.com will be delivered to support@domain.com in case the catch-all feature has been enabled for the latter. In this way, you can receive emails from acquaintances or clients who may have sent a message to your email address with a spelling mistake or to an outdated one, which they may still have, but you have already disabled. Just one mailbox per domain can be a catch-all one and email forwarding cannot be activated for such a mailbox. This is so because of the fact that at some point you may start receiving spam email messages in the catch-all mailbox and the forwarding limitation means that the spam will not be redirected to a third-party mailbox.

Catch-all Emails in Shared Hosting

You’ll be able to set up a catch-all e-mailbox without any effort in case you’ve got a shared hosting account with us. The Email Manager tool in our custom Hepsia hosting Control Panel is fully featured, yet really simple to use, and it will enable you to enable various options, including the catch-all one, with just a couple of clicks of the mouse. All the email addresses that you have set up will be enumerated alphabetically in this section and on the right-hand side of each one you will see a mini "Catch-all" icon. Clicking on it once will activate this feature, clicking it once again will deactivate it. As you can have only one such catch-all mailbox per domain, our system will notify you if you’ve already got a different mailbox with this feature activated or if you’ve got active email forwarding.
